Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website of Das Bergische GmbH published at dasbergische.de.

General description of the service

The website of Das Bergische GmbH allows users to find out about products and services, to get in touch and to place orders or bookings directly online.

Applicable legal requirements

For digital services, the requirements of Section 14 of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) in conjunction with Section 3 Paragraph 1 BFSG and the Ordinance on the BFSG (BFSGV) apply.

Implementation of accessibility requirements

The assessment is based on a self-evaluation using the accessibility tool from AccessGO

Based on this review, the website is partially accessible with the aforementioned requirements.

In particular, the following points are not fully compliant with the accessibility regulations applicable to us:

Identified problems:

  • Text formatted as a heading

  • Alt text too short

Potential problems:

  • Text formatted as a heading

Note regarding PDF files

Some PDF documents provided on the website are currently not fully accessible.

These files have some structural and technical limitations – including missing heading structures, undefined reading orders, missing alternative text for graphic content, or untagged tables. As a result, their usability with assistive technologies is severely limited.

Currently, for organizational and economic reasons, we are unable to provide all existing PDF documents in a fully accessible format. However, we are striving to publish new documents in an accessible format wherever possible.

If you require a specific document in an accessible format, please contact us. We will gladly provide you with an individually accessible version, to the extent possible.

Supplement to the Accessibility Statement

Our website uses the accessibility plugin AccessGO (www.accessgo.de) offered by the DGfB German Society for Accessibility mbH.

This allows users to adapt our website to individual restrictions or preferences.

The settings can be accessed via the AccessGO icon or alternatively via the key combination “ALT + 1”. All functions can also be controlled using the keyboard.

Among other things, it is possible to adjust the following aspects:

  • font size

  • Contrast

  • Highlighting links

  • Enabling a screen reader

  • Using profiles to activate multiple settings simultaneously.
