What we are doing for tourism in the Bergisches Land region
About us
Under the brand "Das Bergische", we have been promoting tourism in the rural part of the Bergisches Land region for 20 years now as an umbrella organization.
We connect tourism stakeholders in the region and at the state level, act as drivers and advisors in the tourism sector, and initiate comprehensive measures to expand and improve infrastructure. We develop and consolidate tourism offerings. We strengthen the region's tourism image and have also significantly raised awareness of tourism among the local population.
Under the brand "Das Bergische" we conduct intensive tourism marketing, both online and offline, with print media as well as at trade fairs and information stands, directly with the customer.
We are the service point for guests before their trip begins. We offer comprehensive advice regarding accommodation and leisure activities, and we are happy to put together customized programs for groups.
The shareholders are the Oberbergischer Kreis, the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis and the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis, as well as the Bergische eVOur work is primarily financed by public funds, contributions from tourism service providers, and sponsorships. In addition, we generate advertising revenue, commissions, and contribution margins from our own business activities. All revenue is reinvested in promoting tourism in the region.
