South of Wipperfürth, this hike follows relaxing panoramic trails. You'll pass many small villages and always circle the 372-meter-high Hermesberg. Along the way, you'll be treated to sweeping views across the rolling landscape. Places to stop for refreshments include Fähnrichstüttern at the Stüttem estate and in Agathaberg. Alternatively, it's a good idea to bring along some treats for a leisurely picnic in the countryside.

- From the market square, take the Heimatweg (#3) up to the Klosterberg until you reach Ringstraße.
- 1 Turn right there, then left at the intersection marked with a triangle (Siegburger-Tor-Straße). Continue straight ahead out of town. Pass the hamlet of Münte on your left, then turn diagonally right from the road onto a farm track. Cross Wegerhof road, pass Eichholz on the right, cross the road in Drecke, continue straight ahead until you reach Fürden road, then turn left following the triangle marker uphill to Thier.
- 2 (To stop for refreshments at the Landhaus Orbach, turn right at the church (A3) towards Ahe, distance approx. 380 m). At the church, follow the circular marker to the left (Kapellenberg), then keep left in Unterthier (An der Burg). Follow the circular marker through Niederflosbach to the K18, turn left there, then right at the parking lot. At the top of the hill near Buchholz, keep left twice, along the border between Wipperfürth and Lindlar to Graben, then turn left onto the L284 to Stüttem (refreshments available at Landgut Stüttem). Turn right there, then take the next left, then keep left, through Fähnrichtstüttem. After Fähnrichtstüttem, continue straight ahead on the path at the left-hand bend, up to the Höhenstraße (K18, Agathaberg). Turn right to Agathaberg (follow the circular marker all the way).
- 3 Turn left before the church onto Agathaberger Weg (X28). At the right-hand bend, continue straight ahead on the path, downhill to Niedergaul (refreshments available at Landgasthof Tönnes). Cross the main road and continue onto Niedergaul Street. After crossing the Gaulbach stream, turn left at the left-hand bend onto the path leading to Stülinghauser Weg. Follow this for 150 meters, then at the left-hand bend, bear diagonally right onto the path along the edge of the forest. Follow Sonnenweg (X28) through the left-hand bend to the end, then take the footpath to Am Gaulbach Street.
- 4 Continue straight ahead on the footpath along the Gaulbach stream until you reach Ostlandstraße, then turn right, then left onto Attendorner-Tor-Straße. Cross the street and the bus station (Surgères-Platz) and continue past the Protestant church to the market square.
