Cycle and hiking trail on a former railway line.
Where the railway once rolled, you can now enjoy the beautiful cultural landscape of the municipality of Lindlar on a cycling or hiking tour. The route along the former railway line is characterized by its pleasant gradient. Many historical sites along the cycle and walking path are popular photo subjects, such as the four-arched valley bridge (a viaduct) in Bruch, the former railway stations, the idyllic mill pond in Siebensiefen, wayside crosses, and 100-year-old bridges. A special charm lies in the discovery of railway relics, moss-covered kilometer markers, and railway sleepers. The highlight is a heavy steam locomotive parked at Linde station.

Information panels detailing the history of the railway era already encircle a 12-kilometer stretch. Aside from worthwhile detours, such as visits to the Merlenbach fish farm, the Lindlar open-air museum, or a beehive in Welzen, the "Sülztalbahn" cycle and walking path is embedded in a dense network of hiking trails, allowing for the combination of diverse routes with this tour.

The diverse culinary offerings extend beyond the center of Lindlar to Georghausen Castle, where the golf hotel also provides a welcome opportunity for rest and refreshments. The tours promise cycling and hiking fun amidst nature, perfect for families, leisure cyclists, and those seeking a more relaxed experience. Actively yet peacefully, you can discover the charms of the Bergisches Land region.
