Discover the Homburg region along the Bröl River on an approximately 50 km long circular route. Along the way, you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and pass through four municipalities in the Bergisches Land region: the health resort of Nümbrecht, the municipality of Much, the municipality of Ruppichteroth, and the market town of Waldbröl. Look forward to a scenic tour and explore the many small villages along the route, as well as visiting the nearby museums and restaurants.

The health resort of Nümbrecht and its three neighboring municipalities are easily accessible via several highways and main roads. For a convenient journey, you can use the following routes:
  • Via the A4: Take the Bielstein or Gummersbach exit and follow the signs towards Wiehl / Nümbrecht.
  • Via the A45: Leave the motorway at the Meinerzhagen exit and follow the B256 towards Nümbrecht.
  • Via the B478: This federal highway also leads you directly to Ruppichteroth, Waldbröl and Nümbrecht.
You can park in Nümbrecht-Marienberghausen at the hiking parking lot, in Waldbröl at the town hall or in Ruppichteroth at the shopping center.
The route can also be accessed by public transport. From Ründeroth train station, you can take bus line 312 to Nümbrecht-Elsenroth to begin the tour. Alternatively, from Gummersbach train station, you can take bus line 302 to Nümbrecht (stop: Otto-Kaufmann-Str.) or to Waldbröl (stop: Busbahnhof) and from there join the route in just a few minutes.

Please note that the route is not yet signposted. Currently, you can only use the GPX track for navigation. Extensive signage will follow.

The ADAC North Rhine has a new branch in Waldbröl ADAC bicycle service station The 1.5-meter-high repair station is now open at the Waldbröl skate and bike park and is equipped with high-quality tools.
