The route first leads to the iron observation tower high above Morsbach. On a clear day, the Siebengebirge hills can even be seen from its platform, before the trail continues along secluded paths through sparsely populated valleys to the former district town of Waldbröl – an almost meditative experience on a considerable leg of the journey.

Directions
This stage follows wide, well-maintained farm tracks and narrow paths, and again features the typical ups and downs of the Bergisches Land region. Right at the start, the route climbs steeply to the Hohe Hardt observation tower and then immediately descends again to the Wisserbach stream, before climbing steeply once more on the other side of the valley.
The route now leads through forests and along forest edges with slight ups and downs to Erblingen and on to Vierbuchen, before descending into the valley of the Vierbuchermühle and hiking up to the market town of Waldbröl.
