Stage 11 leads from Waldbröl to Nümbrecht
Expansive meadows and fields on the open slopes of the upper Waldbrölbach valley accompany hikers for much of this stage. The landscape along the way to the Homburg region surprises with ever-changing facets. A magnificent panorama awaits at the observation tower on the "Lindchen" shortly before the stage's end: from its platform, one can see not only the Siebengebirge hills and the Eifel heights on the horizon, but also a large portion of the Bergisches Land Panorama Trail.

We would like to thank Anne Pampus, Ralf Mortsiefer, Dagmar Mortsiefer and Axel Sattler, who look after the path as volunteer path stewards.

Directions

The eleventh stage runs primarily along meadow paths, picturesque trails, and secluded farm tracks, with a particularly large portion traversing open areas. From the edge of Waldbröl, the trail initially leads under the Panarbora treetop walkway, through the foothills of the Nutscheid, one of the largest contiguous forest areas in the region, and down into the valley of the Waldbrölbach stream, which it then follows for several kilometers. From Benroth, the Panorama Trail climbs gently towards Nümbrecht, passing several small villages along the way.
