Views of the Bergisches Land region
From culture to motorsports, the final stage of the Panorama Trail offers a wide range of attractions. From the health resort of Nümbrecht, the trail leads past Homburg Castle and the historic Holsteinsmühle mill towards Wiehl. A short detour takes you to the local stalactite cave, and the Panorama Trail even passes directly by the motorsports grounds in the Bielstein district before truly living up to its name: Passing the high moors of the Immerkopf hill, the trail ascends to the observation tower on the Hohe Warte hill. It offers one last magnificent 360-degree panorama before the trail descends to its destination in the Agger Valley.

We would like to thank Axel Sattler, Rainer Ochel and Heiko Daniel, who look after the path as volunteer path stewards.

Directions

The final stage offers plenty of variety: Along meadow paths, picturesque trails, and secluded farm tracks, it connects cultural highlights with stunning views. Some challenging climbs also await the hiker.
From Nümbrecht, the trail initially follows wide paths to Homburg Castle and continues through the forest to Holstein's Mill. Along the Stockheimer Bach stream, the Bergische Panoramasteig trail leads to Stockheim and then, with gentle ups and downs, along forest and meadow paths via Großfischbach, Hengstenberg, and Linden to Bielstein. Here, you'll find the Erzquell Brewery, which produces, among other things, Zunft Kölsch, the easternmost Kölsch brewery. The trail continues through the Ülpe Valley to the motocross track and, after crossing the L321 road, climbs steeply to Niederhof and on to Immerkopf. Pleasant forest paths then lead gently downhill to Forst, before the Panoramasteig climbs steeply again behind the A4 motorway to the Hohen Warte viewpoint. From there, the trail descends on partly wide, partly narrow forest paths to Ründeroth, where this final stage ends at the Agger bridge by the retirement home.
