The path along the numerous arms and bays of the Neye Reservoir is reminiscent of Norwegian fjords.
The drinking water reservoir, where the deciduous forest bursts into the vibrant colors of an "Indian Summer" in autumn, is part of a network of reservoirs. The tributaries and outflows of this quintet of waterways accompany the panoramic trail to the stage's destination in the oldest town in the Bergisches Land region: the Hanseatic city of Wipperfürth.

We would like to thank Rainer Knorr and Joachim Grolewski, who look after the path as volunteer path stewards.

Here you can find all the hosts on stage 5.

Directions

The fifth stage mostly follows wide gravel and meadow paths, offering a great variety of scenery and many beautiful views. For the most part, the route initially follows farm tracks and paths, later continuing on gravel forest and meadow tracks and paved agricultural roads, gently undulating past individual farmsteads, crossing several streams, and offering frequent expansive views of the landscape. Shady forest paths eventually lead to the Neye Reservoir, where the trail continues through the woods to the dam. Near Großblumberg, the Panorama Trail leaves the reservoir and leads directly down to the stage marker at Voßkuhle via scenic, partly paved farm tracks.
