A varied up and down through the Wupper Valley,...
...which is still called "Wipper" above Wipperfürth, ensures that there's never a dull moment on the way to Marienheide. Sweeping views across the Bergisches Land region and into the Sauerland also provide variety, so that even some steeper sections are mastered almost casually before the historic pilgrimage site of Marienheide, at the intersection of ancient long-distance routes, is reached.

We would like to thank Andreas Rüffler, who oversees the path as a volunteer path steward.

Here you can find all the hosts on stage 6.

Directions

This stage also mostly follows wide gravel and forest paths, but offers equally beautiful panoramic views and scenic variety. The route leads up and down through forests and meadows to Böswipper, along farm tracks and paths. After crossing the Wipper River, the trail continues uphill on wide forest and meadow paths to Wahlberg and then downhill to Ohl. The Panorama Trail then follows forest tracks and paths along the Wipper and Wienhagenbecke streams to the Lingese Reservoir. From there, paths and forest tracks lead up to Moosberg and the stage marker.
