best season

Stage 7 leads from Marienheide to Bergneustadt.

It is not only blessed with rain, but also windy in the headwaters of the Wupper, through which the Bergischer Panoramasteig winds its way past wind turbines and the Unnenberg down to the Genkeltalsperre dam. The Aggertalsperre reservoir with its own lido and the dreamy village of Lieberhausen with its colorful Kerke are further charming stops along the way via Niederrengse to Bergneustadt. The stage destination is also varied and offers a lively shopping center as well as a historic old town with a museum of local history.

We would like to thank Andreas Rüffler, Uwe Töpfer, Markus Loschko and Annegret Gisevius, who are looking after the trail as volunteer trail patrons.
