Stage 8: Bergneustadt - Wildbergerhütte
Through rustling forests and small villages, the hiker climbs imperceptibly up to the Blockhaus winter sports area - 490 meters above sea level, high above the climatic health resort of Eckenhagen. On the way, you can take a break at the edge of one of the last juniper heaths in the Oberberg region. Right next to the former ski jump at the Blockhaus, the hiker is finally greeted by a panorama that, on a clear day, allows the view to sweep as far as the Siebengebirge mountains on the horizon.
