The eighth stage leads mostly along wide forest paths, but also near-natural trails, and includes some steep ascents and descents. From Wiedenest, the route first climbs up to Altenothe and Neuenothe before reaching the juniper area near Branscheid. The highest point of the Bergischer Panoramasteig is at the Blockhaus. The trail descends through the forest to Windfus, then back up to Hespert and downhill again to Dreschhausen, from where you walk along the edge of the forest to the stage stone in Nespen.
