Oat Spain route

The route leads through a very diverse cultural landscape with horse farms, agricultural operations, and a few remaining grain fields. The attempt to wrest grain from the poor soil here earned the region the nickname "Oat Spain."

The Oat Spain Route is one of three hikes that offer new views of the castle. Selected by the Sauerland Mountain Association, the routes promise varied and enjoyable hours in the Homburg region.
