On the trail of the witches
The route begins in the center of Odenthal, at the bridge over the Dhünn River near the roundabout. From here, follow the "Witch" trail marker. The first destination is the Witches' Fountain in the village center of Odenthal. The stages of the witch trials are depicted on the fountain's rim. The trail then leads uphill to Glöbusch. A playground now occupies a meadow at the edge of the village. According to old legends, witches used to gather there to celebrate their sabbath. Shortly after Blecher lies Eichenplätzchen Street, where witches are said to have gathered to dance. The path then descends through the forest into the Eifgen Valley and continues to the German Fairy Tale Forest, where witches and magic abound. The trail then continues through the Dhünn floodplain and back to Odenthal.

Please note that the route passes through the Odenthal villages of Glöbusch, Erberich, Holz and Blecher along the road.
