The beautiful scenery and unique views offered on the mountain ridges give this route its name.
From Nümbrecht, cycle up to the Nippes hilltop. Enjoy the view of the Nutscheid ridge stretching south to the Siebengebirge hills. Passing Wirtenbach and Grötzenberg, the route climbs to the Heisterstock, at 315 meters one of the highest points in the municipality. From here, you have a beautiful view of Nümbrecht, including the observation tower and smaller villages like Malzhagen and Büschhof. On a clear day, you can also see the Siebengebirge. Here you briefly leave the Nümbrecht municipal area, where you can access the Reichshof bike park. At Hübender, the Hotel Restaurant Ponyhof Knotte offers another rest stop. Just a few pedal strokes away are the Wiehl stalactite cave, the Wiehl wildlife park, the Waldhotel Tropfsteinhöhle (with a restaurant), and the Pfaffenberg restaurant. Above Kleinfischbach, let yourself be surprised by the vastness of the Bergisches Land region: While the village of Kleinfischbach comes into view in the foreground, the eye can make out, besides Wiehl and Bomig, the Gummershardt with its telecommunications tower and the Unnenberg with its observation tower on the horizon. In Elsenroth, you can enjoy the view over the Homburg villages of Rommelsdorf and Oberbierenbach and out into the Bergisches Land. On the horizon, you can see the hills of Erdingen and Eckenhagen in the municipality of Reichshof. You will reach the award-winning village of Marienberghausen, winner of the national competition "Our Village Should Become More Beautiful" in 1969 and 1991. This village is also known as the birthplace of Engelbert Humperdinck's opera "Hansel and Gretel," which premiered here. The "Bonte Kerke" (Colorful Church) is well worth a visit, as it is one of the few in the Rhineland with an authentic collection of late Gothic paintings. The Hotel "Zur Alten Post" offers a chance for a short break (closed on Mondays). You will reach Nümbrecht again via the Ölsbach valley.
