Wrong way

This educational trail was conceived and created in 2022 jointly by forest owners, the Much Forestry Association, the Much Hunting Association, the North Rhine-Westphalia State Forestry Enterprise and the municipality of Much with funding from Vital.NRW-Region VOM BERGISCHE ZUR SIEG. 

It offers insight into the diverse areas of the large forest ecosystem, its importance for plants, animals and humans, its vulnerability to storms, bark beetle infestation and other threats, as well as the efforts of many groups to preserve this unique habitat for the future, even in a time characterized by climate change and adaptation. 

The long route is 4,5 km long, the short version only 1,5 km. Fifteen information panels (along the long route) provide a wealth of information about the forest and the topic of wood.
