- Start: Ohler Wiesen, Wipperfürth
This cycle route is part of the Kirchdorfradweg Wipperfürth, a series of cloverleaf-shaped cycle routes that together lead through the church villages around Wipperfürth.
This Route 2 begins at the Ohler Wiesen parking lot, crosses the town center, and leaves it via Gaulstraße towards Lindlar. This section follows a busy main road; children use the sidewalk. In the village of Roppersthal, leave the main road, cross through the village, and reach the crossroads in Wegerhof. Here, keep left and continue past a bench through a forest to Hermesberg. In bad weather, turn right at the bench towards Klespe and then left to Hermesberg. In Hermesberg, you have a magnificent view of the Bergisches Land hills. In Grünenberg, use the main road for a few hundred meters before turning towards Agathaberg.
There's an opportunity for a rest; a visit to the parish church of St. Agatha is also worthwhile. Children can let off some steam at the playground behind the school. At the edge of the village, there's a wonderful view of Wipperfürth to the left. Continue straight ahead; shortly before Dohrgaul, cross the main road. In the village center, turn left towards Ohl. After a steep descent, you'll reach Niederklüppelberg, where you'll pass a sawmill on your left and thus reach the railway line, which offers an easy return to Wipperfürth.
Just before the city there are rest areas, stations of the
A milk trail and a birdwatching station. The base station at the Ohler Wiesen is another stop.
