- At the parking lot in front of the Rusticus restaurant, turn left and at the end turn right onto a path that leads through the Weltersbach valley to the Krähwinkeler Weg. Follow this path, marked with a "2", to the right, keep left in the settlement and then up to a hilltop.
- At the T-junction, turn right and then left at the junction with Bechhauser Weg. In Herscheid, at the T-junction with the "2", turn right (L359), then take the next left (L427).
- After about 40 meters, follow the "2" to the left, cross the Herzbach stream on a path to the left, and then soon turn left again to the L359 road and walk along it to the right. After a left-hand bend in the road, turn right and after 160 meters turn right at the T-junction.
- Go down into the valley, turn left and follow the Orther Bach stream downstream. After crossing the Herzbach stream, turn left, hike up to the edge of the forest and turn left there (after 200 meters, turn off towards Paulinenhof).
- At the second junction, turn left, then take the next right through Oberbüscherhof, continuing straight ahead onto Holzerhof road. After almost 500 meters, turn left into the valley, cross the Weltersbach stream, and then turn left again, passing through the village of Krähwinkel. After approximately 730 meters, the path to the "Rusticus" branches off to the right.

Take the A1 motorway to the Burscheid exit. Follow the B51 and turn left towards Wermelskirchen. In Hilgen, turn left onto Witzheldener Straße, continue on the main road through Witzhelden and out of the village until you see the Rusticus sign on the right.
