The Overath Panorama Trail It boasts spectacular views and is perfectly marked for a 3,5-hour hike. Ideal for walks in either direction.

The "Overath Panorama Trail," marked by numerous volunteers from the Overath Local History and Civic Association (HBVO), is approximately 15 kilometers long and offers impressive views of the Bergisches Land region. A hiker in good physical condition can complete the trail in about 3,5 hours.
The “Overath Panorama Trail” can be hiked in both directions - markings are present on both sides.

Directions in an eastbound direction:
Those arriving by train from the surrounding area can start the tour directly at the Overath hiking station. After about a kilometer on roads, paved paths, and a pedestrian bridge over the Agger River, you leave the town center. The roads and traffic noise are now behind you.
The route continues with varied, hilly terrain, sometimes leading steeply uphill through the charming green landscape – mostly on natural ground. The path winds through forest clearings and majestic beech forests, past meadows, fields, and small residential areas. At the highest point of this impressive trail – after covering approximately 5 kilometers – there is...
The Marialinden Cathedral is clearly visible. A bench invites you to take a short break. If you wish, you can take your time and enjoy the peace and quiet and the fantastic panoramic view across wide, green meadows.
After a short climb, the path descends again towards the Overath district of Rittberg. Partly along narrow trails, but mostly on well-maintained forest paths, the trail leads through the villages of Schiefenthal and Lölsberg towards Eulenthal and on to Broicher Berg. Here – after about 10 kilometers – it's worth taking a break.
Another rest stop: Further down the valley, a "Guardian of Time," a sculpture by a Linz artist, "watches over" the impressive landscape.
The last approximately 4 kilometers of the varied “Overath Panorama Trail” lead – before reaching the original starting point – across the grounds of “Gut Eichthal” with a view of the traditional district of “Cyriax” with a former monastery complex and a provost's residence.
