Easy tour around the Wupper Dam
From the starting point (Hohenfuhrstraße parking lot, town hall, Radevormwald town center), turn left onto Hohenfuhrstraße, follow the signposted route R1a, turn left at the traffic light intersection onto Kaiserstraße, and continue straight ahead. Before the right-hand bend, turn left onto Hohenstraße, and continue on the cycle path to Rädereichen. Here, use the pedestrian crossing to the right to continue on the cycle path along Hückeswagener Straße/B 483 towards Hückeswagen.

From the village of Neuenherweg, follow the signs for R1a straight ahead to Hückeswagen. At the Hückeswagen roundabout, continue straight ahead, then turn right onto the signposted cycle path, also R1a, a former railway line, towards Remscheid (Bergischer Panoramaradweg / Balkantrasse). Continue through the 220-meter-long Höhsieper Tunnel towards Bergisch-Born. From here, turn right towards Remscheid; the route leaves the cycle path to the right approximately 1 km past the "blue bridge".

We reach the village of Engelsburg via a path that becomes an asphalt road. At the restaurant, cross the L 412 to the left. After another 300 m, turn right onto Eichenhof Street. Follow the gently descending road for approximately 3.5 km through the Feldbach Valley until you reach the Feldbach pre-dam, where it intersects with the L 412. Cross the road and continue on the right-hand side. Joining the R 2 route, continue the tour over the Wupper bridge on the cycle/pedestrian path with a view of the reservoir. After approximately 600 m, turn right and climb briefly to the Kräwinkel Recreation Park. Continue for 4 km on the cycle path (Bergerhofer Bahntrasse), a former railway line, towards Radevormwald town center. At the end of the cycle path, continue on the right-hand side (use the pedestrian crossing aid and be aware of car traffic) along Kaiserstraße to the town center.

At the pedestrian traffic lights (end of the cycle path), continue straight ahead into Kaiserstraße (one-way street) until you reach the market square. Cross the market square on the left-hand side towards Oststraße, where after another 200 meters you turn left into Schützenstraße (dead end). The starting point, the town hall car park, is on the other side of the street and can be reached via the pedestrian crossing on Hohenfuhrstraße.
