Directions

From the parking lot, turn left onto Hohenfuhrstraße. At the traffic lights, turn left onto Kaiserstraße and continue to the bend where Alte Landstraße and Hohenstraße meet. Continue straight ahead on Hohenstraße, following the cycle path alongside the B 229 through Rädereichen. At the roundabout, continue straight on to the village of Grüne. Continue straight ahead (using the pedestrian crossing) on the cycle path along the B 229 to the village of Eich. Continue on the cycle path on the right side of the main road (using the pedestrian crossing). Stay on the cycle path, which leads slightly uphill to Wintershaus (the highest point in Radevormwald, 400 m above sea level) towards Halver-Schwenke. From the Radevormwald/Halver town boundary, follow the B 229 for approximately 2,5 km and turn right in Schwenke towards Anschlag. The road leads slightly uphill. After about 200 m at Hohenplanken, turn right towards Wipperfürth via the K 13 through a charming landscape. After about 7 km we come to a crossroads and turn left towards Wipperfürth.

The Hanseatic city of Wipperfürth is the oldest city in the Bergisches Land region. The tour continues along the cycle path above the Neye reservoir to the village of Neye.
From here continue to the right (towards the sports airfield) then on the “Wasserquintett-Bahntrassen-Radweg” (access to the cycle path signposted by the air sports club on the left) to Hückeswagen.
The route offers almost continuous views of the Wupper floodplain. At the Hückeswagen roundabout, we follow the signposted cycle path (former railway line) towards Remscheid (Bergischer Panorama-Radweg / Balkantrasse).

Continue through the 220-meter-long Höhsieper Tunnel towards Bergisch-Born. After approximately 1.000 meters, just past the "blue bridge," the route leaves the cycle path to the right. Following the forest path, which becomes an asphalt road, we reach the village of Engelsburg. At the restaurant, cross the L 412 to the left. After another 300 meters, turn right onto Eichenhof Street. Follow the gently descending road for approximately 3.5 kilometers through the Feldbach Valley to the Feldbach pre-dam, where it intersects with the L 412. Cross the road and continue on the right-hand side. Cross the Wupper Bridge and follow the cycle/pedestrian path, which offers panoramic views of the reservoir. After approximately 600 meters, turn right and, after a short climb, you will reach the Kräwinkel Recreation Park. From here, an approximately 4 km long, paved, gently rising cycle path (Bergerhofer Bahntrasse, former railway line) leads towards Radevormwald, town centre.

At the end of the cycle path, cross the road to the left. (Use the pedestrian crossing.) The cycle path continues on the right side of Kaiserstraße and ends at a pedestrian traffic light before the entrance to the city center. Continue straight ahead on Kaiserstraße (one-way street) until you reach the market square (pedestrian zone). Cross the market square on the left side towards Oststraße, where after another 200 meters you turn left into Schützenstraße (dead end). The starting point, the town hall parking lot, is on the other side of the street and can be reached via the pedestrian crossing on Hohenfuhrstraße.
