The Kürten - Odenthal road cycling route offers 48 km of pure cycling pleasure in the Bergisches Land region. Discover spectacular hills and picturesque views on a challenging circular tour.

Your tour begins in Kürten, following Wermelskirchener Straße and passing through Enkeln until you reach the B506. Turn right onto the B506 and continue until the next left turn. This road leads you along the L409, past the Dhünn Dam, through Halzenberg and Neuenhaus, and along a winding road to Dhünn. From there, take Pilghauser Straße (K14) through Osminghausen until you reach the L101. Turn left here and follow this road through Stumpf and Grunewald, past the Hindenburg Tower, until you reach the K18. Turn right onto the K18 and continue to Dabringhausen. At the roundabout, turn left onto Altenberger Straße. Upon reaching the L101 (also called Altenberger Straße), turn left onto this road. You will be following the German Avenue Road (Deutsche Alleenstraße), and a long descent (approx. 5 km) will take you towards Altenberg. You have a fantastic view of Altenberg Cathedral, part of the Cistercian abbey founded in 1133. It also boasts the largest church window north of the Alps. Continue on to Odenthal, passing Strauweiler Castle on your left. First mentioned around 1300, the castle is now owned by the former noble family of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg. At the roundabout, take the first exit and drive uphill on Bergisch-Gladbacher Straße until you reach the B506 (Wipperfürther Straße). Turn left here and follow the road through Romaney and Eikamp. Shortly after Eikamp, Bechener Straße branches off to the right towards Spitze. In Spitze, turn left, passing through Dürscheid and Biesfeld, until you finally reach Kürten again, your starting point.
