Around Lindlar

This route is the "Around Lindlar" circular hiking trail, marked along its entire length by a black "L" on a white background. You can start your bike tour from any point. As an example, the tour starts from the parking lot on Wiesenstraße in Fenke. To reach the signposted trail, cycle to Neuenfelder Straße and turn right. Continue straight ahead onto Wolfskuhl. From here, follow the signs past the Eibach castle ruins, through Niederkemmerich and Unterfeld to Oberbüschem. The paths mostly follow beautiful and well-maintained forest roads, ensuring safe cycling. Singletrack sections are relatively rare. Follow the signs via Ommerborn and Müllersommer to Hommerich and on to Georghausen Castle. Cycle past the golf course via Schmitzhöhe to Hohkeppel. Passing breathtaking views and panoramas, a picturesque campsite, and old farmhouses, the tour eventually leads you to Holz. The glider airfield is located very close by – on the left side of the forest. From April to October, you can watch the gliders on weekends when the weather is good. After a short break, the last leg of this circular tour is a breeze. Once again, the view from here is unique. On a clear day, you can see the Remscheid town hall tower far on the horizon. Return to Fenke via Eichholz and then to your starting point, taking a slightly different route than the signposted tour.
On sunny weekends or holidays, this path is also frequented by many pedestrians. Please be considerate of them during your bike ride!
