The starting and finishing point of the tour is at the old moated castle in Denklingen. The route follows a gentle incline along the old "Brothers' Road". Scenic views that invite you to linger round off this approximately 23 km long and moderately challenging bike tour with 450 meters of elevation gain.
You start through the old archway, which in earlier times also housed the two prison cells, and cross the main road. After 50 meters, we turn left before immediately turning right again onto Poststraße. Climbing slightly, we are now on the old "Brüderstraße" (Brothers' Road). The "Brüderstraße" was probably once a trade route, to which Denklingen Castle also owes its founding.
We follow the "Brüderstraße" (Brothers' Road) to Sterzenbach and tackle a climb of around 8%. The hamlet of Heseln remains to our left, we reach Schalenbach, and now the route descends. We continue past the reservoir dam and the Auchel waterworks. After a straight stretch of about 1 km, we reach the village of Brüchermühle. Here we turn left, and after about 200 m, turn right again towards the hamlets of Eueln, Fürken, and Heischeid.
Back on the trail, the circuit now descends towards Eichholz. We leave Sotterbach, Feld, and Heienbach behind us before reaching a high point where we can look out over the Bieberstein reservoir. The route continues downhill to Remperg and Bieberstein, then climbs again via the old railway line through Perke, Mühlenau, Auf der Hardt, Rölefeld, and Eiershagen, the winning village in the "Our Village Should Become More Beautiful" competition. Here, romantic half-timbered houses invite you to linger. After about 1,5 km, we reach Denklingen, the officially recognized resort town and our starting and finishing point. Those wishing to refresh themselves can do so at the various inns and restaurants along the way.
