Circular hike from the Landscheid estate to the Lambertsmühle mill, along the Landscheider Bach and Wiembach streams.

On the outskirts of Burscheid, this short hiking trail – particularly suitable for families – connects the former Landscheid manor, now a restaurant, with natural field paths. You can leave your car at the manor. From there, hike through the wild Wiembach valley to the picturesque Lambertsmühle mill. Be sure to visit the kitchen garden there before treating yourself to a meal at the manor.

Directions

From the parking lot at Gut Landscheid, follow the Bergischer Weg long-distance hiking trail (orange marker) to the right of the building into the forest. Continue uphill, parallel to the Landscheider Bach stream, until you reach the Oberlandscheid road.
1 Walk along the sidewalk on the street to the left and go through an underpass under the A1 motorway.
2 After a right-hand bend, turn left onto the path along the Wiembach stream at the following left-hand bend. Follow the markings for the Burscheid circular hiking trail (a "B" in a circle).
3 After approximately 540 meters, turn right, cross the stream, and walk uphill to the residential street Heddinghofen. In the settlement, turn left at the first opportunity, leave the village, and walk along a farm track to Repinghofener Straße. Follow the road to the left into the valley until you reach Lambertsmühle. At the first entrance to the mill, turn left, cross the parking lot, and then the Wiembach stream.
4 At the T-junction, follow the Bergischer Weg to the left. Soon you'll go through a right-hand bend, then at a fork in the Bergischer Weg, keep left, go under the motorway viaduct and continue to the starting point at Haus Landscheid.
