Forests, hills and valleys

The scenic circular tour takes you, not entirely without inclines and requiring some effort, to the Bergisches Land heights, past manor houses, mills and beautiful forest areas.
Your tour begins in Voiswinkel on Odenthaler Strasse. From there, turn right onto Sankt-Engelbert-Strasse. Follow this road until you reach Buschhorn. Here, turn left onto Hufer Weg. At the fork in the road, turn left onto Weidenbuscher Weg. Now cross the L288 (Kempener Straße). Follow the road to the right. After a short distance, turn left onto Herkenfelder Weg. Here you'll come to another fork; keep left here. Follow the path past meadows and fields through a small wooded area until you reach Badstraße, where you turn right. Not far from your route is the Paffrath indoor/outdoor swimming pool. Leave the pool behind and continue into a large wooded area. Enjoy the tranquility of the forest and the idyllic landscape. After a pleasant stretch along the edge of the forest, you'll reach a roundabout. Cross it and continue straight ahead onto Diepeschrather Straße. This road later becomes Umenstraße and Grafenmühlenweg. You will reach the L73 (Dellbrücker Mauspfad), which you will soon leave before the small wooded area, turning left onto Im Buchenkamp – parallel to the bridle path. The bridle path later branches off to the left. Continue straight ahead and you will reach Heuweg. At Lustheide, cross the L136 and follow the path below the A4 motorway. After a short while, you will reach the L358, which you also cross. You will now reach another very beautiful wooded area, the Königsforst. For a few years now, the Königsforst has been a nature reserve and is also known as a green lung near Cologne. Follow hiking trail >5a and cross the Königsforst. You are now on the Brück-Forsbacher-Weg until you reach Forsbach. Cross the L288, continue towards Moitzfeld, and later from Friedrich-Ebert-Straße you will reach the L289 towards Herkenrath. After a long bend, turn left onto Asselborner Weg. Follow this road for a considerable distance until you reach the L 286 (Kürtener Straße). Turn right here and after a few meters, turn left onto Bücheler Weg. You will come to a small intersection. Turn right here. You are now on Combüchen. Cross the road in front of you and keep left towards Oberborsbacher Straße. Your starting point, Odenthaler Straße, is now within easy reach.
