  • Start: Hiking parking lot at the Waldhotel Tropfsteinhöhle, Pfaffenberg 1, 51674 Wiehl; alternatively: Start in Wiehl (parking e.g. in Bahnhofstraße, Homburger Straße)
The hiking trail is divided into a northern loop and a southern loop.
Near Wiehl, this slightly longer hiking trail connects several diverse highlights. Plan to spend a little extra time, as a visit to the Wiehl stalactite cave is highly recommended. The hike begins at the parking lot there.

Passing the Wiehl wildlife enclosure, you hike directly to Wiehl and then westwards into a sparsely populated area full of fields and meadows. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and take a break in the Bierenbach valley, where there are several places to stop for refreshments. Then hike back to the stalactite cave.
