This route explores an eventful journey from Lindlar's past to its future.
Starting at the Lennefetal entrance of the open-air museum, which showcases the historical rural and craft culture of the Bergisches Land region, the hike leads along forest paths to the park surrounding Heiligenhoven Castle. The former castle of the Barons von Fürstenberg consists of an outer bailey and a moated manor house dating from 1758 to 1760. From the "past," the hike transitions to the "present," which can be experienced in the leisure park with its numerous attractions such as mini-golf, a public swimming pool, and a fitness studio with a bistro. At the market square, the hike arrives right in the heart of the action. Following the Heidenstraße pilgrimage route, part of the Way of St. James (Camino de Santiago), an important military and trade route from Leipzig to Cologne, the trail leads past the youth hostel to the southern edge of the Klause industrial park. A multitude of modern businesses and the "Sportpalast" (sports arena) represent the "future." The route leads past the ecumenical Creation Chapel in Remshagen to :metabolon – the center of expertise, learning, and innovation for material conversion and site-specific environmental technologies and techniques. The recreational facilities, including the viewing platform at the top of the cone and the 110-meter-long double slide, make for a worthwhile detour. The return journey follows the panoramic trail.

It is also possible to reach the starting point from Remshagen using public transport.
