This route largely follows natural paths.
Pure peace and seclusion: That's something you're surely longing for now and then. To escape the daily grind for half a day, we suggest this panoramic tour through the Naafbach Valley. Stunning views, charming rest areas, and lush greenery will whisk you away from the routine and bring you back to the starting point in Viersbrücken after a good eleven kilometers, your batteries recharged. Don't forget snacks and drinks for a leisurely picnic!

Directions

  • From the restaurant “Zum Camping Paul” down the road (A10) into the Naafbach valley.
  • 1 In the valley, take the X22 to the right, then at the fork turn left, and after the left-hand bend, turn right uphill to Kern. There, turn right onto the district road for a few meters, then left onto the access road (X22). At the left-hand bend, continue straight ahead onto the forest path. Soon after, follow the X22 to the right onto a path into the valley, then turn left downhill to Honsbach.
  • 2 Turn right uphill onto the Bergischer Weg trail. After about 800 meters, turn left at the intersection and then right at the junction with the cross path until you reach the stage marker. Follow the stream uphill. After about 400 meters, bear diagonally left onto a path to the stream, then left again on the other side of the valley. Ascend on a wider path to the edge of a meadow. Turn left downhill onto the road and at the next bend, turn right onto a path leading up to Eulenthal. At the edge of the village, turn left, walk along the edge of the settlement, take two right turns into the village, and continue straight ahead on the residential street (Leyenhaus) to the K34 district road. Turn left onto this road, pass the "Zum Eulenthal" restaurant, then turn right onto the street "Im Eulenthal". In the hamlet, bear diagonally left onto a farm track (all part of the Bergischer Weg trail).
  • 3 At the T-junction in the valley, turn right onto the black-blue marked access path of the Bergischer Weg trail. Continue downhill to the junction with a signpost. There
Turn right uphill to the starting point.
