Ride & Hike - By train to the hiking trails in the Bergisch region

Hiking trails with direct connections to regional train services

Do you want to go hiking in the Bergisches Land and would prefer to get there by train than by car? No problem! The RB25 from Cologne to Marienheide runs through the Bergisch region, thus providing the opportunity to alight at one of the many train stations along the Agger river and simply set out on your hike (e.g. Rösrath-Hoffnungsthal, Lohmar-Honrath, Overath, Engelskirchen, Marienheide). The RB48 in Leichlingen or tram line 1 in Bensberg offer direct rail connections to/from Cologne.

We have compiled a few suggested tours here that start and end at train stations (or in the immediate vicinity). Further information on the timetable is available from Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg at www.vrs-info.de
