This stage of the Bergischer Weg trail leads through wildly romantic, secluded valleys and gently rolling hills, placing no excessive demands on the hiker's fitness – once they have mastered the steep climb out of the Agggertal valley. Along the way, in addition to lush nature, traces of mining, interesting mill histories, and the mystery of the legend surrounding the "Mücher Heufresser," as the inhabitants of the village at the end of this stage are known, await discovery.
If you hike the Bergischer Weg trail and take photos at certain locations, you can collect points and receive a hiking badge. More information is available here.

Directions
The ninth stage leads almost exclusively along secluded paths and farm tracks, frequently following streams. First, it ascends idyllic paths and forest tracks to the scenic Leyenhaus, and then descends into the beautiful Naafbach valley, which the Bergischer Weg trail then follows for a considerable distance.
From Hohnsberg near Eckhausen, further forest and farm tracks lead down to the Gibbinghauser Bach, which now accompanies the hiker all the way to Much.
