The St. Barbara Chapel, also known as the "Hellenthal Chapel," lies in the Sülz Valley between Overath-Untereschbach and Rösrath-Hoffnungsthal. Built in 1693, the chapel also served as a processional chapel, standing in close proximity to Hellenthal Castle. St. Barbara is known as the patron saint of miners. Nearby is the Lüderich mountain, where mining was once carried out.
An exterior viewing is possible.
